Economic Empowerment Manager

Overall supervision of the activities of the economic empowerment Business in order to propose, design and study new projects, products and services in accordance with the strategic orientations and objectives of the Institution.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development, the monitoring and execution of the Institution’s strategic and operational plans, policies and systems of work related to the economic empowerment projects and services.

• Follow up and validate the choice of projects and products proposed by the Projects & Products Engineering Department, branch Managers and MFI’s clients

• Identify the feasibility studies needed to launch the projects and products and submit reports in the subject to the General Management (market study, technical study, financial study, social study, economic study, risk study, study of partnership, study of the needs in human resources, study of the environment … etc).

• Follow up and validate the partnership proposals submitted by the Partnerships Department related to the value chain projects.

• Oversee the development and the execution of the implementation plans of the projects studied

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with local partners including the donor, government ministries, private sector companies and business associations

• Provide day-to-day management of the economic empowerment portfolio including strategic decisions and ensuring the good implementation of projects.

• Submit reports on activities and achievements related to project and product engineering to General Management

Job Requirement:

• At least MBA, Master Project Management, Social Economy, Development Economics or equivalent

• Experience in engineering projects over 10 years including five years in the finance / development projects/Value chain.

• Good knowledge of the microfinance sector and economic empowerment.

• Good knowledge of Islamic modes of financing and compliance conditions Sharia financial transactions.

• Mastery of use of computer tools and office applications.

• Mastery of Arabic, English languages in oral, reading and writing.

• Advanced skills in marketing and communication.
