Vault Manager

Vault Manager:

The vault manager is responsible for managing all activities related to cash and liquidity and is also responsible for directly supervising cashiers and following up on the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring that all payments have received the necessary approvals via the authority’s matrix approved by the department.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cash levels within the specified limit and determine monetary needs.
  • Execute all cash, cheques, and transfer requests to and from the Central Bank of Libya and commercial banks, under policies, procedures and the instructions implemented by the bank.
  • Facilitate cash transfers from the vault to cashiers.
  • Perform other duties such as cash reconciliation and ATM settling.
  • Supervise cashiers and ensure that customers receive the best services in completing their withdrawal and deposit cash transactions.
  • Coordinate with the branch manager and human resources department to provide and qualify cashiers with the appropriate training programs.
  • Make sure that all cash, coins, and cheques are well-organized.
  • Ensure all the required report is ready on a daily and recurrent basis.
  • Provide correct and up-to-date information requested by internal and external auditors and the obligation function whenever necessary.
  • Make sure that the highest standards of confidentiality are maintained to protect confidential business information.

Qualifications Required:

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and Banking.
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience, including at least one year in a similar job, preferably in the banking sector.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and behave professionally and respectfully.
  • High skills in working with Microsoft Office applications.
